Role Overview: Biology Teacher (IGCSE and IAS/IAL)
As a Biology Teacher, you will deliver high-quality, student-centred instruction aligned with the Cambridge IGCSE and IAS/IAL Biology curriculum. Your role involves fostering scientific curiosity, building students’ analytical and practical lab skills, and supporting exam readiness.
Key Responsibilities:
- Teach Biology at IGCSE and A-Level standards
- Develop engaging, inquiry-based lesson plans aligned with Cambridge curriculum
- Conduct laboratory sessions and ensure practical skills development
- Assess student progress and provide detailed, constructive feedback
- Collaborate with subject team on curriculum and enrichment planning
- Participate actively in school initiatives, co-curricular programmes, and ongoing training
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Biology or a closely related field
- Recognized teaching qualification (QTS, PGCE, or equivalent)
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience teaching secondary Biology
- Familiarity with Cambridge IGCSE and IAS/IAL Biology syllabus and assessment formats
- Strong classroom management and student engagement skills
- Excellent command of spoken and written English
