Role: Teacher of Economics & Business Studies
As a Teacher of Economics & Business Studies, you will engage students with real-world applications of economic theory and business principles. Through dynamic lessons, case studies, and interactive projects, you will inspire students to develop problem-solving skills, analytical thinking, and a strong understanding of global economic systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality Economics and Business Studies lessons aligned with the National Curriculum for England.
- Teach GCSE and A-Level Economics with a strong focus on critical thinking, financial literacy, and business strategy.
- Incorporate real-world case studies and industry trends to create an engaging and relevant learning experience.
- Utilize innovative teaching methods that encourage student participation, collaboration, and independent learning.
- Assess student progress through formative and summative assessments, providing timely feedback.
- Foster an entrepreneurial mindset by encouraging students to apply economic theories to practical business scenarios.
- Contribute to extracurricular activities, business competitions, and enterprise initiatives.
- Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and school leadership to support student growth and development.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Economics, Business Studies, or a related field.
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent teaching certification.
- At least five years of teaching experience, including GCSE and A-Level Economics instruction.
- A proven ability to deliver engaging and inspiring lessons that drive academic excellence.
- Strong classroom management and student engagement skills.
- A commitment to student well-being, inclusion, and holistic development.
