Role: Teacher of PE and Sports

The PE and Sports Teacher will deliver engaging physical education lessons and lead a variety of school sports programs. The ideal candidate brings energy, creativity, and a strong coaching background, helping students develop physical skills, a lifelong love for sport, and values like teamwork, discipline, and fair play.

Key Responsibilities

• Teach PE and Games across multiple age groups, supporting students’ physical fitness and skill development
• Plan lessons aligned with the school’s curriculum and adapt instruction to different abilities
• Monitor and assess student progress, providing feedback to enhance performance and well-being
• Lead extracurricular sports clubs, training sessions, and school teams
• Organise inter-house and inter-school competitions to promote participation and healthy competition
• Ensure the safety of students during activities, maintaining equipment and applying risk assessments
• Collaborate with teachers and coaches to support whole-child development
• Support the school’s pastoral care programme through mentorship and sports-based activities
• Engage in ongoing professional development to improve teaching practices and coaching techniques
• Promote inclusivity, ensuring all students can participate in sports regardless of ability

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Physical Education or a related field
• Valid teaching qualification (e.g., QTS, PGCE, or equivalent)
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in PE teaching, ideally in an international or British school setting
• Proven coaching expertise in at least one major team sport (e.g., football, rugby, netball)
• Familiarity with a wide range of physical activities and sports
• Strong communication and classroom management skills
• High proficiency in spoken and written English
• Enthusiastic, self-driven, and committed to inclusive education and school life
