Role Overview – Visual Arts Teacher
As a Visual Arts Teacher, you will design and deliver inspiring art lessons that foster creativity, critical thinking, and technical skill. You will guide students in exploring a variety of media, techniques, and artistic traditions, helping them develop both their individual style and an understanding of global art culture.
Key Responsibilities
- Teach engaging and high-quality Visual Arts classes aligned with IB standards
- Develop creative lesson plans and project-based learning activities
- Support students in building strong artistic portfolios for higher education applications
- Organize and participate in art exhibitions, school events, and cultural activities
- Collaborate with colleagues to integrate arts education into the wider curriculum
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Visual Arts, Fine Arts, Art Education, or a related field
- Recognized teaching certification (e.g., QTS, PGCE, or equivalent)
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant teaching experience
- Strong understanding of IB and international curricula
- Proficiency in various art mediums and digital design tools
- Excellent communication, classroom management, and technology skills
