Role Overview: Secondary PE Teacher (Swimming Included)

As a Secondary PE Teacher, you will deliver a broad and engaging physical education program that includes aquatics. Your instruction will emphasize physical development, coordination, and leadership, while also preparing students to meet curriculum standards in both land-based and water-based activities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver high-quality PE and swimming instruction to secondary students
• Develop and lead sports programs that foster health, fitness, and personal growth
• Plan lessons aligned with British or IGCSE curriculum outcomes
• Maintain safety standards in all physical and aquatic activities
• Evaluate student progress and provide constructive, timely feedback
• Organize sporting events, swim meets, and extracurricular activities
• Collaborate with colleagues to promote cross-curricular integration

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Physical Education or a related field
• Recognized teaching certification (e.g., QTS, PGCE, or equivalent)
• Minimum of 2 years of PE teaching experience, preferably in an international school
• Proven ability to teach swimming and manage pool-based lessons
• Current first aid and lifesaving certifications preferred
• Strong communication and classroom management skills
