Role Overview
As a Primary English Teacher, you will play a pivotal role in developing students’ literacy skills, critical thinking, and love for language. You will create engaging lessons that build a strong foundation in reading, writing, speaking, and listening, while encouraging creativity and confidence in communication.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging and developmentally appropriate English lessons aligned with the Australian curriculum
- Foster a positive, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment
- Monitor student progress and provide regular feedback to parents
- Differentiate instruction to support diverse learning needs
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance teaching strategies and curriculum design
- Integrate technology to enrich classroom learning
- Contribute actively to the wider school community and co-curricular activities
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Education or English-related field
- Valid teaching license or certification (e.g., QTS, PGCE, or equivalent)
- Minimum of 3 years teaching experience in Primary English or a similar role
- Strong knowledge of international curricula, particularly the Australian framework
- Excellent communication and classroom management skills
- Proficiency in spoken and written English
- Commitment to professional development and innovative teaching practices
- Ability to build strong relationships with students, parents, and colleagues
