This school is based in Bangkok, Thailand and is looking for a Dean of Middle and High School

BASIS International Schools is a rapidly growing network of schools in China and Thailand known for academic excellence and innovation. Since our first school opened in Shenzhen in 2015, BASIS International & Bilingual Schools has expanded across southeast Asia, with campuses in Hangzhou, Guangzhou, Huizhou, Nanjing, Chengdu, and Wuhan, China and Bangkok, Thailand. In 2024 we launched three new schools in Shenzhen—including our first Early Childhood Education exclusive campuses.

BASIS International School Bangkok opened in the fall of 2019, and first BASIS International Schools campus outside of China. Responsibilities:

Organizational

• Coordinating the planning and preparation for new student orientation;
• Participating in the development of academic and student schedules;
• Organizing and monitoring student’s arrival and dismissal;
• Organizing and leading student assemblies;
• Participating and leading in all faculty and staff meetings;
• Supporting admissions assessments.

Academics

• Organizing and reviewing results of assessment of numeracy and reading comprehension and problem-solving skills for new students, state-required assessments, Comprehensive or Curriculum Gains BASIS program;
• (In relevant Grades) Reviewing results of PSAT, SAT and ACT and state-required assessments;
• Reviewing Progress Reports and mid-semester reports in collaboration with Directors;
• Organizing and executing student academic support;
• Participating in the planning and execution of standardized assessments;
• Coordinating/Conducting student academic support interventions in collaboration with Interventionists
• and Directors;
• Supporting students with concerns and questions regarding their academic school experience.

Well-being

• Supporting the creation and maintaining a safe and positive school and community environment;
• Supporting teachers in building positive relationships with parents;
• Supporting parent with students’ overall well-being;
• Supporting students with concerns and questions regarding social aspects of their school experience.

Discipline

• Organizing and executing student behavior support;
• Maintaining student discipline and follows through with documentation;
• Communicating and meeting with parents regarding student performance and/or conduct;
• Supporting teachers with classroom management.

Communication

• Supporting teachers to resolve differences in communication with parents and students;
• Supporting teachers in parent and student communication.
• Other duties as assigned

Work Experience

Who We’re Looking For

• Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in your subject area
• Experience: At least two years as the lead teacher in a classroom, a requirement for obtaining a working visa.
