Deputy Head of Section cum A-Level, TH School, Vietnam Senior Leadership Team

This school is based in Hanoi, Vietnam and is looking for a Deputy Head of Section cum A-Level

With the optimal learning program combining 80% of classes taught in English for international curriculum and 20% of classes taught in Vietnamese for Vietnamese studies subjects including Vietnamese Literature, History, Geography, and Civic, TH School students are exposed to the full international education, while strongly preserve the core values ​​of Vietnam.

With a vibrant community representing students from almost 30 countries, TH School provides a unique environment where students can delve into diverse cultures, participate in enriching cross-cultural exchanges, and practice various languages daily.

The Deputy Head of Section will assist the Head of Section  in overseeing the day-to-day operation of the Vinh Campus by providing the necessary leadership to fulfil our vision and mission and making student learning the highest priority. Specific areas of responsibilities include providing instructional leadership and overseeing student life and student discipline. The Deputy Head of Section will also assist the Principal with teacher supervision and evaluation, academic standards, and monitoring student support services. The Deputy Head of Section assumes a part-time teaching role.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of Bachelor’s degree and a teacher qualification issued by an international government authority. A leadership qualification in the education sector is preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience working as a teacher in a school.
• Proven experience as a teacher and teacher leader.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders.
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.

• Experience teacher and leader.
• Listens and communicates well.
• Experience and ability in providing informed instructional leadership – aware of current best practices in planning, instruction, and assessment.
• Organizational ability, initiative, and effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Evidence of ability to supervise, coach, and evaluate teachers.
• Knowledge of international education standards and practices, specifically the Cambridge program (IGCSE, A and AS Levels)
• Strong understanding of the unique challenges and opportunities of leading a school within a school.
• Adaptable to the challenges associated with living and working in a remote location.
• Commitment to the school’s mission, vision and core values.
