Role Overview
The Elementary Homeroom Teacher will guide students in core subject areas while fostering their personal and social growth. This role requires an educator who can create engaging, inquiry-based lessons aligned with the IB framework and cultivate a supportive classroom environment where every child feels encouraged to learn and succeed.
Key Responsibilities
- Teach core elementary subjects, including literacy, numeracy, science, and social studies
- Develop engaging, student-centered lessons that promote critical thinking and collaboration
- Assess student progress through varied formative and summative methods
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the elementary curriculum and plan interdisciplinary projects
- Support extracurricular activities and contribute to the broader school community
- Communicate effectively with parents and guardians to support student learning
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Education or a related field
- Valid teaching license or certification (QTS, PGCE, or equivalent)
- At least 3 years of elementary teaching experience, preferably in an international or IB school setting
- Strong subject knowledge and classroom management skills
- Proficiency in integrating technology into teaching and learning
- Excellent communication skills in spoken and written English
- Enthusiasm for working in a diverse, multicultural school community
- Commitment to continuous professional development
