Role Overview
As an Elementary Social Studies Teacher, you will teach core concepts in history, geography, civics, and culture to young learners. You will create engaging lessons that encourage curiosity, critical thinking, and cross-cultural understanding. This role requires enthusiasm for developing well-rounded students who are not only academically strong but also socially aware and globally conscious.
Key Responsibilities
- Teach elementary-level Social Studies following international curricula
- Develop creative, student-centered lessons that foster inquiry and exploration
- Differentiate instruction to support diverse learning needs
- Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback
- Integrate educational technology into daily lessons
- Collaborate with colleagues on cross-curricular projects
- Build strong relationships with students, parents, and the school community
- Contribute to extracurricular programs and school-wide initiatives
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Education, Social Studies, or a related field
- Valid teaching license or certification (QTS, PGCE, or equivalent)
- Minimum of 3 years of teaching experience in Social Studies or elementary education
- Familiarity with international curricula (IB, Cambridge, or similar)
- Strong classroom management and communication skills
- High proficiency in spoken and written English
- Commitment to professional growth and continuous learning
- Enthusiasm for working in a multicultural international school environment
