The Role: English Language and Literature Teacher
As an English Language and Literature Teacher, you will:
- Develop engaging lesson plans aligned with the IB curriculum to inspire a love for English literature and language.
- Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages active participation.
- Utilize innovative teaching methods to enhance students’ reading, writing, and critical thinking skills.
- Monitor student progress through assessments and provide constructive feedback to support growth.
- Collaborate with colleagues to implement best teaching practices and contribute to the school’s academic development.
- Participate actively in extracurricular activities and school events to build strong relationships within the school community.
Qualifications and Requirements
To excel in this role, you should have:
- A Bachelor’s Degree in English, Literature, or a related field.
- A valid teaching qualification such as QTS, PGCE, or an equivalent certification.
- Proven experience teaching IB English Language and Literature or related subjects.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage students effectively.
