Role Overview: English Teacher
As an English Teacher at MIGS, you will:
- Teach English language and literature to secondary school students, following the Cambridge curriculum
- Plan and deliver engaging, student-centered lessons that develop critical reading, writing, and communication skills
- Prepare students for IGCSE English examinations and provide targeted academic support
- Create a classroom environment that fosters curiosity, creativity, and confidence
- Collaborate with teaching colleagues to support interdisciplinary learning and whole-school initiatives
- Participate actively in the pastoral care of students and co-curricular activities
Candidate Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in English, Education, or a related field
- Valid teaching qualification (QTS, PGCE, or equivalent)
- Minimum of 4 years teaching experience in English, preferably within an international or Cambridge curriculum setting
- Strong classroom management and communication skills
- Experience in teaching Cambridge IGCSE or the British National Curriculum
- Commitment to professional development and collaborative teaching
- Fluency in written and spoken English
