Position: Senior School English Teacher

Key Responsibilities:

• Teach engaging and interactive English lessons to students in the Senior School following the British curriculum.
• Develop and implement differentiated lesson plans that cater to varying abilities and learning styles.
• Foster a love for literature, writing, and critical thinking, inspiring students to explore English beyond the classroom.
• Prepare students for GCSE and A-Level examinations, ensuring high standards of achievement.
• Assess student progress through formative and summative assessments, using data to inform instructional strategies.
• Collaborate with colleagues to develop innovative teaching materials and interdisciplinary projects.
• Encourage students to develop strong communication, analytical, and creative writing skills.
• Participate in extracurricular activities, such as debate clubs, writing competitions, or drama productions, to enhance student learning experiences.
• Engage with parents and guardians, providing regular updates on student progress and academic development.

Qualifications & Requirements

To thrive in this role, you should have:

• A Bachelor’s Degree in English, Education, or a related field.
• A valid teaching license (QTS, PGCE, or an equivalent qualification).
• Proven experience teaching English at Key Stage 3, Key Stage 4, or Key Stage 5.
• A deep understanding of the British curriculum and assessment methodologies.
• Strong classroom management skills and the ability to create an inclusive, engaging learning environment.
• A commitment to student success, academic excellence, and innovative teaching practices.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills to collaborate with a diverse faculty and school community.
• A passion for extracurricular engagement, including literature clubs, drama, or journalism.
