Role Overview: English Teacher
The English Teacher will deliver engaging, high-quality instruction in English Language and Literature. You will encourage students to develop strong literacy skills, critical analysis, and a lifelong love for reading and writing. You will also play a key role in curriculum development and the promotion of cross-curricular language learning.
Responsibilities
- Teach English Language and Literature in alignment with the Cambridge International Curriculum
- Design differentiated lessons to meet the diverse needs of students
- Foster an inclusive, interactive, and student-centered classroom environment
- Guide students in developing speaking, writing, reading, and comprehension skills
- Assess student progress using formative and summative tools
- Participate in school events, parent-teacher communication, and interdisciplinary projects
- Contribute to co-curricular activities and school improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in English, English Education, or a related field
- Valid teaching qualification (e.g., QTS, PGCE, or equivalent)
- Minimum of 3 years of teaching experience, ideally with the Cambridge curriculum
- Strong classroom management and communication skills
- Fluent in spoken and written English
- Experience in international or multicultural school settings preferred
- Proficiency with educational technology and digital tools for language instruction
- Self-motivated, collaborative, and committed to professional development
