Role Overview: English Teacher
The English Teacher will deliver engaging and challenging lessons aligned with the British curriculum, covering key stages from lower secondary to upper secondary levels. You will develop students’ skills in reading, writing, speaking, and critical analysis, encouraging creativity and intellectual curiosity. Collaboration with colleagues, parents, and students will help foster an inclusive environment where every learner can thrive.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver high-quality English lessons that meet curriculum standards
- Assess and monitor student progress, providing timely feedback
- Manage classroom behavior to create a positive learning atmosphere
- Communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff
- Incorporate technology to enhance teaching and learning experiences
- Participate in professional development and contribute to school initiatives
- Support extracurricular activities related to English and literacy
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in English, Education, or related field
- Valid teaching qualification (QTS, PGCE, or international equivalent)
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience teaching English in an international or British curriculum school
- Strong subject knowledge and excellent classroom management skills
- High proficiency in spoken and written English
- Independent, motivated, and proactive in curriculum enrichment and school involvement
