Role: Head of English (IB MYP & IB DP)

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the English Department, ensuring high standards of teaching and learning in alignment with the IB MYP and IB DP frameworks.
• Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that foster critical thinking, creativity, and language development.
• Drive curriculum innovation while maintaining strong academic standards across all key stages.
• Mentor and support English teachers to enhance teaching strategies and improve student outcomes.
• Collaborate with school leaders to develop strategies that improve literacy and communication skills across the curriculum.
• Monitor student progress, implement effective assessment strategies, and provide personalized support to ensure success.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Proven experience in teaching IB MYP and IB DP or other outcomes-based education systems.
• Strong leadership experience with a track record of successful department management.
• A Bachelor’s Degree in English Language or Literature and a recognized teaching qualification.
• Candidates with a Master’s Degree or higher will be given preference.
• Extensive experience in implementing effective Assessment for Learning strategies.
• Excellent communication and technology skills are essential.
• Ability to inspire, mentor, and support teachers while fostering a positive learning environment for students.
