HIS implements the full International Baccalaureate (IB) continuum, including the Primary Years Programme (PYP), Middle Years Programme (MYP), and Diploma Programme (DP). Our faculty is dedicated to inquiry-based learning, intercultural understanding, and preparing students for global citizenship.
Role Overview
We are looking for an experienced IB DP English Teacher who can deliver high-quality instruction in English Literature and/or Language & Literature at the Diploma Programme level. The ideal candidate will bring energy, innovation, and a passion for language arts education to our diverse student community.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging English lessons that meet IB DP standards
- Guide students through the extended essay and other core components of the DP
- Monitor student progress using formative and summative assessments
- Collaborate with colleagues to support interdisciplinary learning
- Participate actively in school-wide initiatives, clubs, or extracurricular activities
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in English, Literature, Education, or a related field
- Valid teaching license or international teaching certification (e.g., QTS, PGCE)
- Minimum of 2 years of experience teaching IB or a similar international curriculum
- In-depth knowledge of IB DP English Language and Literature or English Literature
- Excellent classroom management and communication skills
- Strong commitment to student success, professional growth, and curriculum development
- Fluent in English and comfortable teaching in a multicultural environment
