Role Overview
The IBDP English Teacher will deliver engaging lessons to high school students in the Diploma Programme. The role involves guiding learners through IB English courses, supporting their academic growth, and helping them develop skills in analysis, communication, and creative expression.
Key Responsibilities
- Teach IBDP English Language and Literature courses with a student-centered approach
- Design and implement lessons that align with IB standards and assessment criteria
- Provide timely feedback and monitor student progress to ensure academic success
- Collaborate with colleagues to strengthen the IB curriculum across grade levels
- Contribute to school-wide initiatives, extracurricular activities, and student well-being
- Engage parents in meaningful dialogue about student learning and development
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in English, Education, or a related field
- Valid teaching license or certification (QTS, PGCE, or equivalent)
- Minimum of 3 years of teaching experience, preferably with IBDP or international curricula
- Strong classroom management and communication skills
- High proficiency in spoken and written English
- Ability to integrate technology effectively into teaching and learning
- Commitment to professional growth and collaboration within a diverse school community
