Role Overview: Learning Support Teacher (IB MYP)

As a Learning Support Teacher, you will design and implement individualized strategies that help students with learning differences thrive academically and socially. You will work closely with classroom teachers, specialists, and parents to ensure students receive targeted interventions and accommodations aligned with the IB MYP framework.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver learning plans tailored to students with identified learning needs
• Collaborate with subject teachers to modify and adapt instructional strategies
• Conduct assessments to monitor progress and guide instruction
• Maintain accurate records of student progress and support plans
• Facilitate small-group or one-on-one instruction to support learning goals
• Communicate regularly with families to promote understanding and involvement
• Participate in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary support teams
• Contribute to staff professional development around inclusive education practices

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Special Education or a closely related field
• Valid teaching license or equivalent certification (e.g., QTS, PGCE)
• At least 2 years of experience in a similar learning support or SEN role
• Strong understanding of inclusive practices and differentiated instruction
• Familiarity with the IB MYP framework and international school environments
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• Proficient in written and spoken English
• Tech-savvy and capable of using digital tools to enhance student engagement and accessibility
