Role Overview
The Middle School Science Teacher will guide students in Grades 6–8 through engaging lessons in life science, physical science, and earth science. The role requires an educator who can combine hands-on activities, laboratory experiments, and technology-based learning to bring science to life. Teachers at OCSI also serve as mentors who nurture both academic growth and personal development in a supportive, Christ-centered setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging science lessons aligned with international standards
- Encourage critical thinking, inquiry, and scientific problem-solving
- Assess and monitor student progress using varied methods
- Incorporate Biblical principles into teaching and classroom culture
- Collaborate with colleagues to refine curriculum and integrate cross-subject projects
- Communicate effectively with parents and guardians to support student learning

- Foster a positive, faith-driven classroom environment
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Science Education or a related field
- Valid teaching license or certification (QTS, PGCE, or equivalent)
- At least 3 years of teaching experience, preferably in international or Christian schools
- Strong subject knowledge in middle school science
- Excellent classroom management and communication skills
- Proficiency in integrating technology into teaching practices
- High level of fluency in spoken and written English
- Passion for working in a diverse international school community
