Position: MLL Specialist (EAL/ELD Teacher)
We are looking for an MLL Specialist to provide targeted support for English language learners (ELLs) in both pull-out and push-in instructional settings. The specialist will collaborate with classroom teachers to plan differentiated instruction that meets students’ linguistic and academic needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality English language instruction to multilingual learners
- Use data to assess student progress and adjust instruction accordingly
- Collaborate with general education teachers to support inclusive practices
- Develop materials and activities tailored to students’ language proficiency levels
- Support the implementation of WIDA ELD standards (training provided if needed)
- Participate in professional development and school initiatives
Qualifications:
- Graduate Certificate or higher in Education, TESOL, or a related field
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience teaching English language learners
- Familiarity with international curricula such as IB, Cambridge, or American curriculum
- Knowledge of WIDA ELD or Understanding by Design (UbD) preferred
- Strong verbal and written English communication skills
- Collaborative mindset and commitment to student-centered learning
