Role Overview

The MS/HS Art Teacher will guide middle and high school students in developing their creativity, artistic techniques, and appreciation for the visual arts. This role involves teaching a range of art disciplines, from drawing and painting to digital media, while integrating international standards and supporting each student’s unique artistic journey. The teacher will also help students understand the connection between art, culture, and faith.

Key Responsibilities

• Teach middle and high school art courses, including both traditional and digital media
• Develop lesson plans that encourage creative expression and critical thinking
• Inspire students to explore different art forms and techniques
• Foster a positive and respectful classroom environment grounded in Christian values
• Integrate technology to enhance art instruction and student projects
• Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum development and school-wide initiatives
• Organize student exhibitions and showcase artwork in the school community
• Communicate effectively with parents and guardians to support student growth

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Art, Fine Arts, Education, or a related field
• Valid teaching license or certification (QTS, PGCE, or equivalent)
• At least 3 years of teaching experience in a similar role
• Familiarity with international curricula and bilingual education settings
• Strong knowledge of art history, techniques, and modern approaches
• Excellent classroom management and communication skills
• Enthusiasm for working in a diverse, faith-based international school community
• Highly proficient in spoken and written English
• Independent, proactive, and committed to professional growth
