Role: MYP Digital Design Teacher

As the MYP Digital Design Teacher, you will have the opportunity to teach students in the Middle Years Program (MYP), where you will engage them in digital design, coding, and technology. Your role will involve delivering lessons that encourage creativity, problem-solving, and the development of digital literacy skills, all while aligning with the IB MYP framework and using innovative teaching methods.

Key Responsibilities

• Teach MYP Digital Design and technology-focused courses to students, promoting creativity and problem-solving skills.
• Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that align with the IB MYP framework and encourage collaborative learning.
• Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that supports digital learning and innovation.
• Assess student progress regularly and provide feedback to help them improve their skills.
• Collaborate with colleagues to deliver interdisciplinary learning experiences that integrate technology across subjects.
• Continuously improve teaching practices by staying current with the latest developments in digital design and technology education.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Design Technology, Digital Design, or a related field, with a relevant teaching qualification such as PGCE, PGDE, or an equivalent.
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience teaching Design Technology or Digital Design, ideally in an IB MYP school, though this is not mandatory.
• Strong understanding of the IB MYP framework and Approaches to Teaching (preferred).
• Passion for fostering students’ creativity and digital literacy skills.
• A strong desire to improve teaching practices and deliver high-quality educational experiences.
