Role: Primary Art Teacher
The Primary Art Teacher will play a crucial role in developing students’ creative thinking, artistic skills, and appreciation for the visual arts. The ideal candidate will bring enthusiasm, innovation, and a student-centered approach to art education.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and deliver an engaging and innovative art curriculum for primary students.
- Teach a variety of art techniques, including drawing, painting, sculpture, and mixed media.
- Encourage students to express themselves creatively while building essential artistic skills.
- Foster a supportive and inclusive classroom environment that inspires young artists.
- Integrate art history and contemporary art practices into lessons.
- Organize art exhibitions, workshops, and school-wide creative initiatives.
- Collaborate with teachers to integrate art into other areas of the curriculum.
- Stay up to date with best practices in art education and incorporate them into teaching methods.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Art Education, Fine Arts, or a related field.
- A recognized teaching qualification (PGCE, PGDE, QTS, or equivalent).
- A minimum of two years’ teaching experience (preferred).
- Experience with the IB curriculum is desirable but not essential.
- Strong classroom management and student engagement skills.
- Fluency in English; additional languages are a plus.
- Passion for art education and fostering creativity in young learners.
