Role Overview
The Primary Science Teacher will deliver engaging and hands-on lessons that encourage students to explore scientific concepts, develop critical thinking skills, and cultivate a lifelong love for learning. The successful candidate will design interactive experiments, integrate inquiry-based learning, and inspire students to see the connections between science and everyday life.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver science lessons aligned with the British curriculum
- Create interactive and inquiry-based activities that promote scientific exploration
- Assess and monitor student progress, providing clear feedback to students and parents
- Encourage curiosity and problem-solving skills through practical experiments and projects
- Collaborate with colleagues to enrich cross-curricular learning opportunities
- Incorporate technology to enhance the science curriculum and classroom experience
- Contribute to the wider school community through extracurricular activities and school initiatives
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Science, Education, or a related field
- Valid teaching license or certification (e.g., QTS, PGCE, or equivalent)
- At least 3 years of teaching experience in primary science or a related subject
- Strong knowledge of the British or international curriculum
- Excellent classroom management and communication skills
- Enthusiasm for working in a multicultural international school environment
- Commitment to continuous professional development and innovative teaching practices
- High proficiency in spoken and written English
