About the Role: Secondary Art & Design Teacher

In this role, you will lead engaging, student-centered lessons in Art & Design across secondary levels. You will guide students in developing technical skills, conceptual understanding, and creative expression through a range of visual media. You will also support interdisciplinary learning by integrating design thinking into various aspects of the curriculum.

Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging instruction aligned with IB and GCE ‘O’ Level frameworks
• Guide students through conceptual art projects and portfolio development
• Promote visual literacy, creativity, and problem-solving in the classroom
• Organize art exhibitions and contribute to extracurricular art initiatives
• Collaborate with teaching teams on curriculum planning and innovation
• Maintain an inclusive, respectful, and motivating learning environment

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Art, Design, Art Education, or a related discipline
• Valid teaching license or certification (e.g., QTS, PGCE, IB Educator Certificate)
• At least 2 years of secondary teaching experience in Art & Design
• Familiarity with the IB Diploma Programme and/or GCE curriculum
• Strong communication and classroom management skills
• Excellent spoken and written English proficiency
• Passion for developing students’ creativity and artistic voice
• Proficiency in using technology and digital tools in art instruction
