Role Overview

The Secondary Business Studies Teacher will deliver engaging lessons that promote financial literacy, business management skills, and critical thinking. The role requires a creative educator who can make business studies practical and relevant, while also preparing students for assessments, projects, and real-world applications. Teachers at DSC actively support student learning inside and outside the classroom, contributing to both academic progress and character development.

Key Responsibilities

• Teach Business Studies in alignment with the Ontario curriculum.
• Design lessons that promote entrepreneurship, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
• Support students in developing business-related projects, presentations, and case studies.
• Create a classroom environment that encourages collaboration, curiosity, and innovation.
• Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, Economics, Education, or a related field.
• Valid teaching certification (e.g., QTS, PGCE, OCT, or equivalent).
• Minimum of 2 years of teaching experience, ideally in an international school setting.
• Strong knowledge of business studies and international education practices.
• Excellent communication, classroom management, and organizational skills.
• Highly proficient in spoken and written English.
