Role Overview
The Secondary Math Teacher will deliver engaging, challenging, and student-centered lessons that develop critical thinking and problem-solving skills. The role requires a strong understanding of mathematics concepts, assessment strategies, and international curricula, particularly the IB framework.
Key Responsibilities
- Teach secondary-level mathematics, including algebra, geometry, trigonometry, and calculus
- Integrate IB methodologies and inquiry-based approaches into lessons
- Differentiate instruction to meet diverse learning needs
- Incorporate technology and digital tools to enhance teaching and learning
- Assess and track student progress, providing constructive feedback
- Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum design and cross-disciplinary projects
- Create a positive, inclusive, and motivating classroom environment
- Engage with parents and the wider school community to support student development
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mathematics, Education, or a related field
- Valid teaching certification (QTS, PGCE, or equivalent)
- Minimum three years’ experience teaching mathematics at the secondary level
- Familiarity with international curricula, preferably IB
- Strong classroom management and communication skills
- High proficiency in spoken and written English
- Commitment to continuous professional development
- Ability to inspire students and foster a passion for mathematics
