Role: Secondary Science Teacher
As a Secondary Science Teacher, you will:
- Develop and implement engaging science lessons aligned with Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS).
- Encourage hands-on experiments and inquiry-based learning to foster a love for science.
- Utilize technology and digital tools to enhance science instruction.
- Monitor student progress and provide constructive feedback to support learning.
- Create a collaborative and inclusive classroom where students feel encouraged to explore and ask questions.
- Incorporate differentiated instruction to meet the diverse needs of students.
- Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues to support student achievement.
Qualifications & Requirements
To qualify for this role, candidates must have:
- A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Science (Biology, Chemistry, Physics, or a related field).
- A degree in Education (preferred).
- Teaching certification in Secondary Science and/or Middle Level Science.
- Experience successfully teaching Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS).
- A proven ability to foster academic growth for all students, including those with special needs.
- Proficiency in automated student information systems for grading, progress tracking, and documentation.
- Exceptional classroom management, instructional delivery, and leadership skills.
- The ability to motivate students and build strong relationships with parents and the school community.
