Role: Business and Economics Teacher
We are looking for a dynamic, innovative educator with a strong foundation in Business Studies and Economics. The successful candidate will foster critical thinking, problem-solving skills, and a deep understanding of global economic and business trends.
Key Responsibilities:
- Teach Business and Economics to Key Stage 4 and Key Stage 5 students, following the National Curriculum for England.
- Deliver engaging, real-world lessons that promote analytical and entrepreneurial thinking.
- Prepare students for GCSE, A-Level, and IB Diploma examinations, ensuring high achievement.
- Utilize modern teaching strategies and digital tools to enhance learning outcomes.
- Guide students in business case studies, market analysis, and economic research.
- Encourage debate, discussion, and interactive learning to deepen understanding.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop and refine the curriculum.
- Support extracurricular business initiatives, including entrepreneurship clubs and competitions.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Economics, or a related field.
- PGCE with QTS or an equivalent recognized teaching qualification (UK preferred).
- Minimum of two years’ experience teaching Business and Economics at the secondary level.
- A track record of excellent GCSE and A-Level results.
- Ability to provide an ICPC and a UK-enhanced DBS or equivalent police check.
- Strong communication skills, leadership qualities, and a passion for student-centered learning.
- Willingness to contribute to school-wide initiatives, events, and extracurricular programs.
