Role: Head of Performing Arts (Art, Drama, Music)
We are seeking a highly skilled and creative leader to oversee the Performing Arts department. The successful candidate will design and implement an engaging curriculum, organize theatrical productions, art exhibitions, and musical performances, and foster a culture of artistic excellence among students.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the Art, Drama, and Music departments.
- Develop and implement a comprehensive Performing Arts curriculum aligned with the British curriculum.
- Inspire students through innovative teaching methods and interactive performances.
- Organize school-wide productions, concerts, and exhibitions to showcase student talent.
- Foster collaborations with local and international artists, schools, and organizations.
- Enhance students’ creative and critical thinking skills through a structured arts program.
- Maintain and improve performing arts facilities, resources, and equipment.
- Mentor and support teachers within the department, promoting professional growth and innovation.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Art, Drama, Music, or a related field.
- PGCE with QTS or an equivalent recognized teaching qualification (UK preferred).
- Minimum of three years’ teaching experience, with leadership or department management experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of the British curriculum for Performing Arts.
- A track record of success in directing school performances and creative projects.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
- Willingness to contribute to the wider curriculum and school community.
- Ability to provide a UK-enhanced DBS or equivalent police check.
