Role Overview

The ideal candidate is a motivated and experienced individual to fill the crucial role of Physical Education Teacher (teaching students from early years through high school). This specialist position demands a dedicated educator who can effectively design, manage, and deliver engaging, high-standard P.E. lessons across diverse age groups, ensuring alignment with both National and Cambridge curriculum outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and teach high-quality, engaging Physical Education lessons across all school levels (Toddler to K12). Align instruction strictly with both National and Cambridge curriculum learning outcomes.
• Develop and execute strategies that promote physical literacy, skill acquisition in various sports (e.g., basketball, football, swimming), and lifelong fitness habits.
• Lead and manage the school’s co-curricular sports programs, including coaching teams and preparing students for local or regional competitions.
• Assess student learning and physical development consistently using formative and summative methods. Maintain accurate records and provide constructive feedback to students and parents/guardians.
• Maintain a safe, highly organized, and positive sporting environment, ensuring proper use and care of all athletic equipment and facilities.
• Collaborate effectively with other teachers and coordinators to promote cross-curricular links and support the school’s overall health and well-being initiatives.
• Actively participate in professional development sessions and proactively contribute to sports enrichment and wider school activities.
• Use new technologies (e.g., fitness tracking, video analysis) to enhance the quality of teaching and learning for all students.

Qualifications

• Education: Hold a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Physical Education, Sports Science, or a closely related field.
• Certification: Possess a valid teaching license or official certification (QTS, PGCE, or equivalent) specifically for Physical Education.
• Experience: Demonstrate a minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience teaching P.E. across a range of ages, ideally within an international or Cambridge curriculum school setting.
• Curriculum Knowledge: Show strong, demonstrated knowledge of international P.E. curricula, especially Cambridge syllabi, and its practical application.
• Skills: Maintain excellent classroom/field management and superb communication skills.
• Language: Be highly proficient in spoken and written English.
