Role Overview

As a Preschool and Primary Teacher, you will be directly responsible for designing and implementing balanced curricula that focus on play-based learning for the youngest students and developing foundational literacy, numeracy, and social-emotional skills for the primary grades. The ideal candidate possesses strong pedagogical knowledge specific to these combined age groups, excellent classroom management skills, and a commitment to ensuring a smooth educational transition for all students.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver stimulating, engaging lessons tailored for both Preschool and Primary students.
• Develop and implement strategies to build strong foundational skills in literacy, numeracy, and social-emotional learning across all age groups taught.
• Assess student performance and progress consistently, providing timely and constructive feedback to students and parents.
• Maintain a safe, organized, and positive classroom environment conducive to active learning and growth.
• Collaborate effectively with Early Years and Primary colleagues, school leadership, and parents to support holistic student development.
• Implement effective and diverse classroom management techniques suitable for young learners.
• Actively participate in professional development sessions and school-wide initiatives.
• Integrate educational technologies into daily lessons to enhance the quality of teaching and student engagement.

Qualifications

• Education: Hold a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Early Childhood Education, Primary Teaching, or a closely related academic field.
• Certification: Possess a valid teaching license or official certification (e.g., QTS, PGCE, or an equivalent international certification).
• Experience: Demonstrate a minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience teaching either Preschool or Primary grades, ideally with experience across both phases.
• Curriculum Knowledge: Show strong, demonstrated knowledge of international Early Years and Primary curricula and effective teaching methodologies.
• Skills: Maintain excellent classroom management and superb communication skills.
• Language: Be highly proficient in spoken and written English.
• Proactive Approach: Be independent, self-motivated, and willing to proactively enrich the curriculum and contribute to school life.
• Relationship Building: Possess the ability to communicate effectively with all members of the school community, building strong relationships.
• Commitment: Show a robust commitment to ongoing professional growth and learning.
