Role: Teacher of Drama
As a Teacher of Drama, you will inspire students to develop a passion for theatre and performance. You will create a stimulating and inclusive learning environment that encourages students to explore drama, express their creativity, and grow in confidence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging and interactive drama lessons that align with the British curriculum.
- Foster a creative and inclusive classroom environment where students feel confident expressing themselves.
- Encourage collaboration and teamwork through drama activities, rehearsals, and performances.
- Develop students’ acting, storytelling, and stagecraft skills.
- Organize and direct school productions, drama clubs, and performances.
- Adapt teaching methods to support students of all abilities, including those in the Hemam Centre.
- Establish strong relationships with students, parents, and colleagues to enhance student learning.
- Participate in professional development opportunities to stay updated on the latest drama education practices.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Drama, Theatre Studies, Performing Arts, or a related field.
- Valid teaching license (QTS, PGCE, or equivalent).
- Proven teaching experience in drama, theatre, or performing arts.
- A passion for inspiring creativity and self-expression in students.
- Strong classroom management and communication skills.
- Experience in directing school productions, performances, or extracurricular drama activities.
