Role Overview: High School Geography Teacher
As a Geography Teacher, you will deliver engaging, inquiry-based lessons to students in Key Stages 3–5. You will help students explore the physical and human dimensions of geography, develop critical thinking skills, and apply geographic knowledge to real-world contexts. Your work will support students preparing for IGCSE and A-Level assessments.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver high-quality geography lessons aligned with the British curriculum
- Create a classroom environment that fosters exploration, curiosity, and global awareness
- Use diverse assessment strategies to monitor and support student progress
- Collaborate with the humanities department on curriculum design and interdisciplinary projects
- Build strong relationships with students, parents, and colleagues
- Participate actively in school events, professional development, and extracurricular programs
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Geography or a related subject
- Valid teaching license or certification (QTS, PGCE, or equivalent)
- At least two years of relevant teaching experience
- Experience with IGCSE and A-Level curricula is preferred
- Strong classroom management and interpersonal communication skills
- Fluency in spoken and written English
- Self-motivated, innovative, and passionate about global education
