Role Overview

The ideal candidate is a motivated and experienced individual to fill the role of Elementary Homeroom Teacher. This specialist position demands a dedicated educator who can effectively design, manage, and deliver engaging, high-standard lessons across all core primary subjects (Literacy/Reading/Writing, Mathematics, Science, Social Studies). You will directly lead the planning and implementation of a balanced Elementary curriculum, utilizing standards aligned with the U.S. educational system to foster foundational skills and conceptual understanding.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and teach high-quality, rigorous Elementary units across all core subjects. Align instruction strictly with the adopted U.S.-based curriculum standards and best educational practices.
• Develop and execute strategies that promote strong literacy (reading fluency, comprehension, varied writing genres) and numeracy skills, ensuring deep conceptual understanding and application across subject areas.
• Assess student learning consistently using formative and summative tools (e.g., benchmark assessments, portfolios, unit tests). Provide constructive feedback and actively communicate student progress and learning goals with parents.
• Collaborate consistently with specialist teachers, grade-level team members, and the Elementary Principal on curriculum planning, resource development, and student welfare.
• Maintain a safe, highly organized, and positive classroom environment conducive to active learning and student success.
• Actively participate in professional development sessions and proactively contribute to enriching the curriculum and developing wider school initiatives.
• Use new technologies and diverse learning resources appropriately and creatively to enhance the quality of teaching and learning for all students.
• Build strong, communicative relationships with students, colleagues, and parents, supporting the school’s community focus.

Qualifications

• Education: Hold a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Primary Education, Elementary Education, or a closely related field.
• Certification: Possess a valid teaching license or official certification (QTS, PGCE, or equivalent) specifically for Primary teaching.
• Experience: Demonstrate a minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience as an Elementary Homeroom Teacher, ideally within a U.S. or other reputable international curriculum environment.
• Curriculum Knowledge: Show strong, demonstrated knowledge of U.S. Elementary curriculum standards, cross-curricular planning, and student-centered pedagogy.
• Skills: Maintain excellent classroom management and superb communication skills.
• Language: Be highly proficient in spoken and written English.
