Role Overview: Grade 1 Homeroom Teacher
As a Grade 1 Homeroom Teacher, you will guide students through core subjects including literacy, numeracy, science, and social studies. You will create a nurturing classroom environment where children feel safe, confident, and motivated to learn. Your role also involves fostering life skills such as teamwork, emotional intelligence, and independent thinking.
Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging lessons aligned with the Cambridge Primary Curriculum
- Differentiate instruction to meet the academic and developmental needs of all students
- Create a positive and structured classroom environment
- Communicate regularly with parents about student progress and classroom activities
- Collaborate with colleagues on interdisciplinary projects and school initiatives
- Integrate technology effectively to enhance learning experiences

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Education or a related field
- Valid teaching certification (e.g., QTS, PGCE, or equivalent)
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience teaching primary-aged students
- Familiarity with the Cambridge or other international curricula (e.g., IB, IPC)
- Excellent classroom management and interpersonal skills
- Strong written and spoken English proficiency
- Commitment to continuous professional development and collaborative teaching
- Self-motivated, creative, and adaptable to diverse student needs
