Westview Cambodian International School is a respected secondary institution in Phnom Penh, Cambodia. It serves students from grades 5 to 12 and is part of the Learning Jungle International School network, which includes a sister elementary school offering programs from preschool to grade 4.
WCIS delivers a rigorous international curriculum based on the US Common Core Standards. Role Overview: Secondary ELA Teacher
The Secondary ELA Teacher will deliver engaging and high-quality instruction to students across the middle and high school levels. You will help students improve reading, writing, speaking, and critical thinking skills. By creating a supportive and challenging classroom environment, you will empower students to become confident communicators and analytical thinkers.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in English, Education, or a related field
- Valid teaching certification (PGCE, QTS, or equivalent)
- At least 2 years of experience teaching English Language Arts at the secondary level
- Strong understanding of ELA curriculum, preferably aligned with US Common Core Standards
- Excellent communication and classroom management skills
- High proficiency in spoken and written English
- Strong interpersonal skills and a collaborative mindset
- Self-driven, creative, and committed to educational innovation
- Ability to integrate technology effectively into lesson delivery
- Passion for professional development and continuous learning
