Role Overview: Secondary Physics Teacher
The successful candidate will teach Physics at the middle and high school levels, integrating theoretical knowledge with hands-on experimentation and real-world application. The role requires collaboration with colleagues across subject areas to develop interdisciplinary units and actively engage students in critical thinking.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging Physics lessons aligned with international and school-specific standards
- Foster a student-centered classroom that encourages scientific inquiry and collaboration
- Design meaningful assessments to monitor progress and adapt instruction
- Integrate educational technology and lab-based learning into the curriculum
- Participate in departmental planning, school events, and professional development
- Provide academic support and mentorship to students pursuing advanced study in science
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Physics, Education, or a closely related field
- Valid teaching certification (e.g., QTS, PGCE, teaching license)
- Minimum of 3 years of teaching experience in secondary or high school Physics
- Familiarity with international curricula such as IGCSE, IB, or AP is preferred
- Strong classroom management and communication skills
- Ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and families
- High level of English proficiency in both written and spoken communication
- Comfort with using digital tools to enhance science instruction
