Yogyakarta Independent School (YIS) is currently hiring an enthusiastic and experienced Early Years Teacher to join our international faculty in Yogyakarta, Indonesia. Role: Early Years Teacher
We are looking for a creative and caring Early Years Teacher who understands the importance of building curiosity and confidence in young learners. The ideal candidate brings energy, structure, and a deep understanding of early childhood development.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field
- Valid teaching license or certification (QTS, PGCE, or equivalent)
- Minimum of 2 years’ teaching experience in an early childhood or kindergarten setting
- Familiarity with the IB Primary Years Programme (PYP)
- Strong understanding of child-centered pedagogy and inquiry-based learning
- Excellent communication and classroom management skills
- Proficient in English, both written and spoken
- Tech-savvy with a willingness to integrate digital tools in the classroom
- Passion for working in a multicultural and inclusive school environment
- Willingness to contribute to broader school initiatives and team collaboration
