Role: Music Teacher
As the Music Teacher, you will lead engaging music lessons across various year levels, helping students develop a strong foundation in musical theory, appreciation, and performance. You will also oversee ensembles, school productions, and concerts, cultivating a dynamic music culture on campus.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging music lessons aligned with the Cambridge curriculum
- Teach music theory, vocal techniques, and a variety of instruments
- Prepare students for performances and school-wide musical events
- Coordinate choirs, orchestras, and other musical groups
- Create a classroom atmosphere that encourages creativity and participation
- Collaborate with other teachers for interdisciplinary learning opportunities
- Use technology to enhance music instruction and student engagement
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Music Education or a related field
- Recognized teaching certification (PGCE, QTS, or equivalent)
- At least 2 years of teaching experience, preferably in an international setting
- Strong background in music theory and performance
- Excellent classroom management and communication skills
- Fluent in English (spoken and written)
- Passionate about music and its role in holistic education
- Self-motivated and committed to continuous professional development
