Role Overview: International Primary Homeroom Teacher
The International Primary Homeroom Teacher will deliver a balanced curriculum aligned with international and bilingual standards. The role includes teaching core subjects such as English, Mathematics, and Inquiry-Based Learning, while fostering emotional and social development. Teachers will create an engaging classroom environment that supports inquiry, collaboration, and academic success.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality lessons in English, Mathematics, and other subjects aligned with international primary standards
- Foster a nurturing and inclusive classroom atmosphere
- Design and implement lesson plans that reflect best teaching practices and student needs
- Assess student learning through formative and summative methods
- Collaborate with local and international teaching staff for curriculum planning
- Maintain open communication with parents and colleagues
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Education or a related field
- Valid teaching certification (QTS, PGCE, or equivalent)
- Minimum of 2 years of experience teaching in primary or international settings
- Knowledge of international primary curricula (e.g., IPC, IB PYP, or UK National Curriculum)
- Strong classroom management and interpersonal communication skills
- Fluent in spoken and written English
- Self-motivated, reflective, and committed to ongoing professional development
- Proficient in using educational technology to support learning
