Role Overview

The ideal candidate is a motivated and experienced individual to fill the role of Physical Education Teacher. This specialist position demands a dedicated educator who can effectively design, manage, and deliver engaging, high-standard PE lessons and a broad co-curricular sports program.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and teach high-quality, rigorous Physical Education lessons across Primary and Secondary key stages. Align instruction strictly with the UK curriculum’s PE requirements and Inspiros’s commitment to holistic development.
• Develop and execute strategies that promote lifelong physical activity, skill mastery in a range of team and individual sports, and essential theoretical knowledge of health and fitness.
• Organize and lead a dynamic and inclusive extra-curricular activities (ECA) sports program, providing opportunities for competitive and non-competitive participation (e.g., swimming, football, basketball, athletics).
• Assess student learning consistently using formative and summative tools, evaluating physical performance, skill development, and theoretical understanding. Provide timely, constructive feedback to drive measurable improvement.
• Collaborate consistently with colleagues across the school on whole-school events (e.g., Sports Day, competitive leagues), resource management, and student welfare.
• Maintain a safe, highly organized, and effective use of all sporting facilities, strictly adhering to safety protocols.
• Actively participate in professional development sessions and proactively contribute to the school’s commitment to nurturing caring leaders by modeling strong sportsmanship and teamwork.
• Use new technologies (e.g., performance analysis tools, fitness trackers) and diverse teaching methods appropriately and creatively to enhance the quality of teaching and learning for all students.

Qualifications

• Education: Hold a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Physical Education, Sports Science, or a closely related field.
• Certification: Possess a valid teaching license or official certification (QTS, PGCE, or equivalent) specifically for Secondary or all-through PE teaching.
• Experience: Demonstrate a minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience teaching PE, ideally within a British or international curriculum setting, covering both Primary and Secondary age groups.
• Curriculum Knowledge: Show strong, demonstrated knowledge of the UK National Curriculum’s PE framework and its application in an international setting.
• Skills: Maintain excellent practical management, superb communication skills, and proficiency in coaching multiple sports.
• Language: Be highly proficient in spoken and written English.
