Role Overview

The ideal candidate is a highly motivated and experienced individual to fill the crucial role of Early Years Teacher. This specialist position demands a dedicated educator who can effectively design and deliver engaging, highly creative lessons for our youngest learners (Nursery/Kindergarten).

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and teach high-quality, stimulating, play-based learning experiences aligned with best international Early Years practices and Cambridge standards.
• Assess and track individual student development and learning progress consistently using observational methods. Provide timely, constructive feedback to parents/guardians.
• Maintain a safe, highly organized, and positive classroom environment conducive to active exploration and child-centered learning.
• Collaborate effectively with teaching assistants, colleagues, and primary leadership to ensure consistent support for holistic student development.
• Implement effective and diverse classroom management strategies suitable for the Early Years age group.
• Actively participate in professional development sessions and contribute to curriculum enhancement within the Early Years department.
• Integrate appropriate technology and manipulative resources to enhance early learning experiences and engagement.
• Build strong relationships with students, colleagues, and parents, communicating clearly about curriculum goals and student progress.

Qualifications

• Education: Hold a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Early Childhood Education, Primary Education, or a closely related field.
• Certification: Possess a valid teaching license or official certification (QTS, PGCE, or equivalent).
• Experience: Demonstrate a minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience as an Early Years Teacher, ideally within an international school setting.
• Curriculum Knowledge: Show strong, demonstrated knowledge of international Early Years curricula (e.g., UK Early Years Foundation Stage, or similar child-centered frameworks). Familiarity with the Cambridge curriculum framework is beneficial.
• Skills: Maintain excellent classroom management and superb communication skills.
• Language: Be highly proficient in spoken and written English.
• Proactive Approach: Be independent, self-motivated, and willing to proactively enrich the curriculum and contribute to school initiatives.
