Role Overview: IB MYP Individuals & Societies Teacher

As an Individuals & Societies Teacher within the IB MYP framework, you will guide students in exploring history, geography, civics, and economics through critical thinking and interdisciplinary learning. You will play a key role in encouraging students to become reflective, responsible global citizens.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging lessons aligned with the IB MYP Individuals & Societies curriculum
• Integrate inquiry-based learning, research skills, and real-world application into instruction
• Assess student learning through formative and summative methods
• Collaborate with teaching teams on interdisciplinary units and curriculum development
• Support students’ social and emotional learning through advisory programs and mentorship
• Participate in school-wide activities, clubs, and professional development sessions

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Education, History, Social Sciences, or a related field
• Valid teaching certification (QTS, PGCE, or equivalent)
• Minimum of two years of teaching experience, preferably in an international or IB setting
• Strong understanding of the IB MYP philosophy and curriculum
• Excellent classroom management, communication, and organizational skills
• Proficiency in using educational technology for teaching and assessment
• Commitment to continuous learning and fostering a collaborative school culture
• Native-level English fluency required
