Role Overview: IGCSE English Teacher
As an IGCSE English Teacher, you will teach lower and upper secondary students in alignment with Cambridge IGCSE English Language and Literature standards. You will foster communication, comprehension, and critical analysis skills through engaging and well-structured lessons.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver lessons based on the Cambridge IGCSE English syllabus
- Support student development in reading, writing, speaking, and listening
- Create assessments that reflect curriculum objectives and track learning progress
- Provide constructive feedback and support individual learning goals
- Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum alignment and cross-disciplinary initiatives
- Participate in school events, meetings, and continuous professional development
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in English, English Education, or a related field
- Recognized teaching certification (e.g., PGCE, QTS, or equivalent)
- At least 2 years of experience teaching English at the secondary or IGCSE level
- Strong knowledge of the Cambridge IGCSE English curriculum
- Excellent communication and classroom management skills
- Passion for fostering student growth in an international setting
- Proficiency in spoken and written English
