VAS is a recognized Cambridge International School. It delivers a dual-curriculum model that combines the Vietnamese National Curriculum (MOET) with the Cambridge International education program.
Role Overview
The ideal candidate is a motivated and experienced individual to fill the role of Kindergarten Teacher. This position demands a dedicated educator who can effectively design, manage, and deliver a play-based and inquiry-led curriculum. You will lead a vibrant learning environment, delivering a program that integrates the Cambridge Early Years framework with the school’s holistic values.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and teach high-quality, engaging lessons that align fully with the Cambridge Early Years curriculum and VAS standards.
- Develop and execute instructional units that promote learning through play, exploration, and hands-on activities.
- Assess student progress consistently using formative tools and observations to track developmental milestones and provide personalized feedback to parents.
- Maintain a safe, positive, and inclusive classroom environment that encourages children to investigate their surroundings and develop global citizenship values.
- Collaborate consistently with Early Years colleagues to refine curriculum delivery and share innovative teaching strategies.
- Communicate effectively with parents to build strong partnerships and provide regular updates on student achievement and well-being.
- Utilize new technologies, such as interactive learning tools and digital portfolios, to enhance the quality of teaching and learning.
- Proactively enrich the curriculum by leading wider school initiatives, such as holiday performances, themed learning weeks, or community events.
- Commit to ongoing professional growth by participating in school-wide training and international Cambridge professional development workshops.
- Build strong relationships with students and colleagues to support the holistic growth of the VAS community.
Qualification
- Education: Hold a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field.
- Certification: Possess a valid teaching license or official certification (e.g., QTS, PGCE, or equivalent) for early years or kindergarten education.
- Experience: Demonstrate a minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in a Kindergarten teaching position or a similar role.
- Curriculum Knowledge: Show strong familiarity with international curricula, specifically the Cambridge Early Years or EYFS frameworks.
- Professional Skills: Maintain excellent classroom management and superb communication and collaboration skills.
- Language Proficiency: Be highly proficient in spoken and written English.
- Technical Ability: Demonstrate the ability to use modern technologies to enhance the quality of teaching and learning for all students.
- Personal Attributes: Be independent, self-motivated, and proactive in enriching the school community.
