Role Overview
The Middle & High School History Teacher will design and deliver engaging lessons that encourage students to explore world events, cultural developments, and historical perspectives. The successful candidate will foster analytical and interpretive skills, helping students understand the connections between the past and present. This role also involves promoting interdisciplinary learning and encouraging critical discussion within the classroom.
Key Responsibilities
- Teach History to middle and high school students following international curriculum frameworks
- Develop inquiry-based lessons that inspire curiosity and independent thought
- Guide students in research projects and presentations on historical topics
- Integrate technology and multimedia tools to enhance classroom instruction
- Assess student progress through formative and summative assessments
- Collaborate with colleagues to design cross-curricular learning experiences
- Organize history-related clubs, debates, and cultural events

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in History, Education, or a related field
- Valid teaching license or certification (QTS, PGCE, or equivalent)
- Minimum of three years of teaching experience at the middle or high school level
- Familiarity with international curricula such as IGCSE, IB, or Cambridge programs
- Strong understanding of historical analysis and pedagogy
- Excellent classroom management and communication skills
- High proficiency in spoken and written English
