Role Overview

The ideal candidate is a motivated and experienced individual to fill the role of Preschool Class Teacher. This position demands a dedicated educator who can effectively design, manage, and deliver high-standard instruction for children in their formative years (ages 18 months to 5 years). You will lead a dynamic learning environment, primarily delivering the International Early Years Curriculum (IEYC).

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and teach high-quality, engaging lessons that align fully with the International Early Years Curriculum (IEYC) framework.
• Develop and execute play-based learning experiences that promote curiosity, critical thinking, and social-emotional skills.
• Assess student progress consistently using observational tools and digital portfolios to track individual growth and development.
• Maintain a safe, positive, and inclusive classroom environment that encourages children to express themselves and develop independence.
• Collaborate consistently with colleagues and teaching assistants to refine curriculum delivery and share innovative teaching strategies.
• Communicate effectively with parents to build strong partnerships and provide regular updates on student development and well-being.
• Utilize new technologies, such as interactive learning tools and digital documentation platforms, to enhance the quality of teaching.
• Proactively enrich the curriculum by leading wider school initiatives, such as festive performances, outdoor learning activities, or community events.
• Commit to ongoing professional growth by participating in school-wide training and international early childhood workshops.
• Build strong relationships with all members of the school community to foster a sense of belonging and mutual respect.

Qualification

• Education: Hold a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a related field.
• Certification: Possess a valid teaching license or official certification (e.g., QTS, PGCE, or equivalent) for early years education.
• Experience: Demonstrate a minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in a preschool or early years teaching position, preferably within an international school.
• Subject Knowledge: Show strong knowledge of the IEYC framework and a mastery of play-based learning pedagogies.
• Professional Skills: Maintain excellent classroom management and superb communication and collaboration skills.
• Language: Be highly proficient in spoken and written English.
• Technical Ability: Demonstrate the ability to use modern technologies to enhance the quality of teaching and learning for all students.
• Personal Attributes: Be independent, self-motivated, and proactive in enriching the school community and developing wider school initiatives.
