Role Overview

The ideal candidate is a motivated and experienced individual to fill the role of Primary Class Teacher. This position demands a dedicated educator who can effectively design, manage, and deliver high-standard instruction for primary students. You will lead a dynamic learning environment, primarily delivering the International Primary Curriculum (IPC).

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and teach high-quality, engaging lessons that align fully with the International Primary Curriculum (IPC) framework and AHIS standards.
• Develop and execute thematic units of inquiry that promote curiosity, critical thinking, and collaborative problem-solving.
• Assess student progress consistently using formative and summative tools to track individual growth and provide personalized feedback.
• Maintain a safe, positive, and inclusive classroom environment that encourages students to express their ideas and develop independence.
• Collaborate consistently with year-group colleagues and specialist teachers to refine curriculum delivery and share innovative teaching strategies.
• Communicate effectively with parents to build strong partnerships and provide regular updates on student academic achievement and well-being.
• Utilize new technologies, such as interactive learning platforms and digital portfolios, to enhance the quality of teaching and support student engagement.
• Proactively enrich the curriculum by leading wider school initiatives, such as festive performances, community projects, or after-school clubs.
• Commit to ongoing professional growth by participating in school-wide training and international IPC workshops.
• Build strong relationships with all members of the school community to foster a sense of belonging and mutual respect.

Qualification

• Education: Hold a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Primary Education, Elementary Education, or a related field.
• Certification: Possess a valid teaching license or official certification (e.g., QTS, PGCE, or equivalent) specifically for primary teaching.
• Experience: Demonstrate a minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in a primary teaching position, preferably within an international school setting.
• Subject Knowledge: Show strong knowledge of the International Primary Curriculum (IPC) or similar inquiry-based frameworks.
• Professional Skills: Maintain excellent classroom management and superb communication and collaboration skills.
• Language: Be highly proficient in spoken and written English.
• Technical Ability: Demonstrate the ability to use modern technologies to enhance the quality of teaching and learning for all students.
• Personal Attributes: Be independent, self-motivated, and proactive in enriching the school community and developing wider school initiatives.
